James Walker collection of Civil War photographs [graphic]. [ca. 1863-1864]

James Walker's collection of photographs, mainly Civil War-related images. Contains photos of officers (including General Hooker, General J.W. Depayster, Lleut. Bulliad), and locations (including Lookout Mountain, Tennessee; Blackburn's Ford (Bull Run), Virginia; Anacotia Bridge). Contains four photos (two duplicates) of Walker's paintings. One carte de visite shows the Adams Express Company, Georgia Depot, a hospital built by rebel Genl. Brugg, and Crutchfield House. There are three photos of Walker at Lookout Mountain, two of them show him on Saddle Rock. Includes two pencil sketches, one of British military uniforms, used as a study for his painting of the Royal House Guards; the other pictures a flag with written description. There is one photo of an unidentified waterfront with steamships.
